Miranda is the only daughter of a pureblood family of Time Turner makers. She grew up in Germany, amongst books and clocks, and all sorts of weird mechanisms. She is shy and doesn't much know what she wants to do with her life. Her family expects much of her, so she will most likely inherit the family heirloom. Hence her interest in time travel, and everything that has to do with the time continuum. Her family transfered to England due to business, and thus Miranda had to do attend Hogwarts.

Her people skills skim over inexistance. She's shy and likes to isolate herself from the world, more often than not (hence why no-on realised her existence around Hogwarts until now). It could be due to how she's been brought up--her parents, busy all the time, rarely had time for her, entrusting the tiny Miranda to nannies of all nationalities. She knows many languages, and reads a lot, to overcompensate for the lack of playmates. In her 5th year at Hogwarts, her parents have ordered her to rise over the other students, and expand the Lotto prestige. In short, she'll have to act as a connection between her parents, and the parents of her future 'friends', something that doesn't please Miranda the slightest. She very much prefers spending her time either reading or painting, because books and canvas don't stab you in the back like people do.

Even though she's under her parents' reign, and listens to most of what they say, they're never happy with her; this has caused her to begin to develop a rebelious streak, which, in time, might cause her to answer back to her parents, and take full control of her life. Until then, she trusts in her only her black cat, Mut, which means 'courage', in German.

Relationships:
Rose Walker: [dropped character] Best friend. Only person who gets her, only person who really sees Miranda as Miranda. Provider of hot chocolate extraordinaire. Miranda kissed Rose a bit after New Year's, realizing afterwards that she loved the girl. Later on, Rose moved away to another school, which broke Miranda's heart, and left her feeling empty for days. Either way, Miranda still hopes to meet Rose again, because she still loves her.
Kanda Yuu: Her first kiss. Theirs is a dysfunctional relationship bordering on awkwardness, avoidance, and a so-and-so acceptance.
Sasori: Something like her other half, only really not. The only other artist she knows in school, and one of the first to show up and criticise her works whenever she paints something, Miranda views Sasori like a mentor, a similar soul, and at the same time, pure, unreleased danger.
Chizuru: A very nice girl that Miranda likes (a good advisor, too).
Osaka: Miranda's roommate, although excentric, very nice and pleasing. Miranda painted her baby for her.
Rufus Shinra: Complicated, insufferable, arrogant bastard. Not that Miranda would ever vocally express it. But he is. However, he also has a certain something that attracts more than it repels, and Miranda finds herself attracted more often than she'd want to. A good conversationalist, too.
